Who We Are
Our rescue is made up completely of volunteers. There is no paid staff. We love what we do,
and it shows! We not only rescue dogs in need from shelters, owner surrenders and puppy mills,
but we also work hard to help people learn about the breed and are always happy to offer advice and
guidance whenever needed. We are a completely foster home-based rescue, covering the
eastern half of the US. As such, we do not have a shelter to visit.
Our foster dogs receive all necessary veterinary care upon arriving, including, but not limited to, exams,
vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, fecal testing, spay/neuter, dentals if needed and any
other necessary surgeries. Our foster parents work on helping them become polite little members of society
as we search for their perfect forever home. We strive to pair them with the absolute best match for
their future happiness, as well as that of their new family.
**Please note that we only adopt to the eastern half of the US. If you are not in this area, we hope you will
locate another rescue near you to find your next forever friend!
We are always delighted to offer advice about the breed, behavioral issues or care. Hairless breeds are
unique and have unique needs. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to email us!
We are always looking for great dedicated volunteers! Even if you are unable to foster, there are still lots of ways
you can make a difference. Please visit our Volunteer page for more information.
Bare Paws Rescue is a proud member of both Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet.
